Final SparkBlog Posted

I've just posted my final SparkBlog. Don't see any reason to stick around over there any longer.

I heard that the food tracker is up on Spark360. Just checked in over there to see what's going on. You can track activity and you can track food, but you're in a bubble. No human interaction is possible on Spark360. It's a lonely place. - Pointless.

I've also joined the Spark Alumni Group on FB. Also pointless.

Suppose I'll be drifting for a while.

  1. Spark360 lonely. Yep, that was my impression... it was like a glorified version of Spark coach, which has some nice features, but... no friends! I've been told by the team that they are working on some kind of "feed" communication, but I rather suspect that is "within companies" or "within cities" that act more like teams did over on Spark... but those of us who aren't in a participating company or city? No clue what they plan.

Anyway, I'm closer to being done with the blog review. My current plan is keep writing my blog here and look for blogs by fellow refugees. I'm using Cronometer for food tracking, and like it. Some folks are straddling with My Fitness Pal, and I have an account over there, but I pretty much use it just to post a link to my blog over here!

Let us know when/if you land somewhere... meanwhile, chin up, and keep bloggin'!

  2. Yep, I found nothing of interest for me, including the Google 'maintaining" group.
I'm happy tagging people here and it will be like running into you on the street...saying "Long time, no see! How have you been?"
    ;-)

  3. Haven’t tried Spark360 or SparkAmerica or Empower360.

Been logging at Loseit since 2011, so I’m fine staying there.

I’m happy with the continuing interactions with the folks in the Google group. There’s a list of blogs on the Start Page, that helps with filling out a blog reader list. 🙂

And I’m enjoying the blogs, of course!

  5. Kendra, I'm glad I found you over here. My half-hearted search for a good substitute for SparkPeople hasn't led me anywhere attractive either. Your analogy of being in a bubble when on other sites is spot on! Even with the option to write short messages to others on FatSecret, for example, it is SO not the same as at Spark, which really felt like a small town, where we visited and talked often, sometimes daily. You don't know how good something is until you lose it. Didn't we all think we'd have SP forever? Anyway, I appreciated/appreciate you!
